
Public Comment Period Open for Township Road 331 Bridge Replacement

CHILLICOTHE – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project on TR 331 (Vanaka Bank Road) in Pike County.
PIK-TR 331-1.95 (122090) It is proposed to replace the bridge on TR 331 (Vanaka Bank Road) between Unger Hill Road and McCann Road in Pike County, Ohio. The project is located in the rural area of Camp Creek Township.
The project will require approximately 0.172 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located along the forested stream channel.
No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
The roadway will be closed for the duration of the project. The local detour will be Vanaka Bank Road to McCann Road to Camp Creek Road to Unger Hill Road to Vanaka Bank Road. The detour is approximately 2.5 miles.
The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% Local.
The environmental commitment date is 8/1/2026. The project is currently expected to be awarded on 7/1/2028.
