Temporary Forest Road Closures Scheduled During Southern Ohio Forest Rally

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry will temporarily close some state forest roads and corresponding horse (bridle) trails during the Southern Ohio Forest Rally 2026. The annual car rally runs from Tuesday, June 9 through Saturday, June 13 this year.
 
State forest closures and dates are as follows:

  • Scioto Trail State Forest: Tuesday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 10
  • Shawnee State Forest: Friday, June 12, 2026
  • Zaleski State Forest: Saturday, June 13, 2026
