AAUW Seeks Book Donations for 60th Annual Used Book Sale

Article Presented By Hanes Total Healthcare Center…

The AAUW Chillicothe Branch has announced the planning of the 60th Annual Used Book Sale is underway.  The 2024 Book Sale is slated to kick off Tuesday, October 1st from 4pm to 7pm with FIRST CHOICE NIGHT.  A $5 cash cover will be collected at the door and will allow shoppers the best selection of books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games and more!  The sale will continue from Wednesday, October 2, thru Friday, October 5, 9am to 7pm, and will conclude on Saturday, October 5, 9am to NOON.

The 2024 sale is being held in CENTRAL CENTER, in one of the storefronts beside The Dollar General (Look for signs during the sale).

To donate, you may reach out to the AAUW-Chillicothe Facebook page to be put in contact with a member to arrange drop-off. The famous blue barrels will be placed around town beginning August 19 at the following locations:  Corner Market, Autumn Woods, OUC, Sparkle Cleaners, Henderson’s Pharmacy, Trinity Church, First Presbyterian Church, National Church Residences, Marathon-Pleasant Valley Road, Petland, and First Capital Nutrition.

Donations of books, games and puzzles, audio/DVDs, and art are welcome. They cannot accept magazines. Condensed books and encyclopedias will be accepted if in decent shape and will be available to the community at no cost. These types of books make great craft and upcycling projects.  Please refrain from donating any materials with signs of mold or water damage.

If you wish to volunteer to work on set up day—Friday, September 27, Super Sort Saturday, September 28, or during the sale, Monday-Saturday, please reach out to Grace Rotter (440) 382-3788 (call or text), email AAUWCHILLICOTHE@GMAIL.COM, or the AAUW-Chillicothe OH Branch Facebook page.
