Adena High School’s Bostic Field Embraces Changes

High school football fans coming to Adena’s Bostic Field in the Fall of 2024 will see some big changes on how they will be viewing the games.
New bleachers and press box have led to the home grandstand being moved to the opposite side of the field (west side) from where it has been since they started playing there as Frankfort High School in 1949. The visitors bleachers have been moved to the east side of Bostic Field.
More changes are coming in the next few years as the recently announced multi-million dollar “Warrior Wellness Center”, funded through the Appalachian Children’s Health Initiative, will include housing locker rooms for both home and visiting football teams. This will also lead to the relocation of the school baseball diamond to the school district campus site one mile west of Bostic Field.
Litter Media’s Mike Smith spoke with Adena Athletic Director and former head football coach Paul Thomas about these changes, which you can see in our interview posted below.
