
Adena’s Vanessa Conley Still Unbeaten As Unioto Boys Win Patty Forgey Invitational at Rio Grande

The Unioto Boys HS Cross Country team along with Adena’s Vanessa Conley came away with impressive wins at the “Patty Forgey Invitational” at the University of Rio Grande Saturday.
33 boys teams, mostly from Ohio and West Virginia competed in the invitational, while 18 high school girls teams competed. A couple dozen middle school teams also competed.
Unioto Boys took the team title with an average time of 16:47.31, almost a second ahead of runner-up Ignite Athletics out of West Virginia. Rock Hill’s Nixon Snavely was the boys individual winner in a time of 15:29.48. Braden Mantell of South Webster was boys runner-up at 16:02.15. Unioto’s Caleb Caplinger and William Lynch were in the top 10 with 7th and 8th place finishes.
On the girls side, Vanessa Conley of Adena remains unbeaten in 2025 with an individual meet championship in a time of 18:53.37. Kaylen Goss of Logan was runner-up. Ignite Athletics won the girls team title with Fairland as runner-up.
