Ainsley Weaver & Gigi Trotter Crowned 2026 Ohio Elks Hoop Shoot Championships

Ainsley Weaver will represent Ohio as its champion at the Regional Elks Hoop Shoot in Indiana next month.
Gigi Trotter stands atop the Girls 8-9 year-old podium as a first time Ohio Elks Hoop Shoot state champion

Chillicothe has two State Champions in the annual Elks Hoop Shoot held in Newark Saturday.

Three-time State Champion, Ainsley Weaver and newcomer Gigi Trotter are headed to the Regional tournament in South Bend, Indiana March 14th. Trotter (Bishop Flaget) is the 8-9 year-old winner and Weaver (Paint Valley), the 2024 National Champion, won the 10-11 year-old Division.

Also competing in Newark Saturday were Chillicothe’s Skye Martin (Unioto) who finished 3rd among the 12-13 year-olds and Ean Huffer (Unioto), a fourth place finisher in the 10-11 year-old Boys Division.

Trotter and Weaver will compete against the State Champions from Indiana and Michigan with the regional winners advancing to the 2026 National Elks Hoop Shoot competition in Chicago April 16-19.
