American Civil War Canons Come To Life For September Sims Fall Festival

(Amanda) – The 2024 Sims Fall Festival September 27th-28th will feature the Civil War Encampment by the Sons of the Union of the Civil War, William McKinley Camp 21 from Lancaster, Ohio.

The Sherman cannon used in the 1862 Battle of Shiloh will be fired on Friday, September 27th at 6pm, and on Saturday, September 28th at 11am and 1 pm. Also present will be the firing of an 1862 Gatling Gun.

“A terrific educational opportunity for the young and old.”

Hours for the event are Friday 12pm-8pm and Saturday 10am-4pm, located at Sims Farm, 11300 Chillicothe-Lancaster Road in Amanda.
