Area SWCD Team Together For Woodlands Management Workshop

(Chillicothe) – The Ross Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with the Pike Soil and Water Conservation District and OSU Extension to host a free woodlands management workshop on Tuesday, August 29th at 2900 Trego Road in Chillicothe. Anyone who owns forest property is encouraged to attend and discover best practices for managing woodlands.
State Forester Trenner Wile and other experts will demonstrate best practices for managing, protecting, and harvesting your woodlands investment. Learn how your woodlands can provide a wide array of benefits ranging from wildlife viewing and hunting to periodic income to supplement your farming operation or get a return on your woodlands property. A social hour with free Subway begins at 5:30pm. Demonstrations and tours begin at 6pm and end at 8pm.
