Bryan Alley Is New Boys Basketball Coach at Southeastern/John Denen Returns To WCH Girls Basketball

Bryan Alley has been hired as the new boys varsity basketball coach at his alma mater Southeastern, where he starred in basketball and track in the mid 1980’s. He was the two-time All SVC Basketball Player of the Year at Southeastern.
Alley fills the vacancy left after Mike Adams announced his resignation on May 16th.
Bryan’s coaching actually began as a JV coach at Adena and later at Southeastern. He became a varsity assistant at Huntington for two years and then another two years at Southeastern.
Alley was the varsity coach at Zane Trace for 8 years where he led the Pioneers to the 2009-10 SVC championship and was named Coach of the Year. He also saw the Pioneers to five sectional championships and three district runner up finishes. His over varsity coaching record is (107-72).
In other area basketball coaching news, John Denen will make a comeback as Washington Lady Blue Lions varsity basketball coach.
Denen has led the Lady Blue Lions basketball program on two other occasions along with former coaching stints as boys coach at WCH and Johnstown, along with girls coaching stops at Circleville and Logan Elm.
Denen was a 1978 graduate of Washington HS and played college basketball at Middle Tennessee State.
