Cavaliers Team Qualifies in Central District

Chillicothe rolled a 9th place finish in the Boys D-1 Central District Sectional Tournament at HP Lanes Thursday. Justin Lowery had the top score for the Cavaliers (617), Nathan Woodbridge (597), Austin Sprouse (591), Elliot Brown (531) and Ethan Morris (437) rounded out the scoring.

Individual qualifiers from Wednesday and Thursday included Jackson’s Blake Woodyard (662) and Andrew Miller (609), Teays Valley’s Sam Rogers (641) and Nathan Davis of Logan (611).

The Boys D-1 District Tournament will be Tuesday, February 27th at HP Lanes.

The Girls D-1 Central Sectional is this Friday and Saturday at HP Lanes. Participating schools include Logan Friday with Chillicothe, Circleville, Lancaster, Jackson, Teays Valley and Unioto Saturday.  

Hillsboro, Miami Trace & Washington Advance in Southwest

The Hillsboro, Miami Trace and Washington High School Bowlers advanced to next week’s Southwest District Bowling Tournament at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek.

At Poelking Woodman Lanes in Kettering, the Blue Lions Boys placed third and Miami Trace was seventh, with the top 10 teams advancing to the District. Washington’s team includes Luke Crabtree (717), Nick Walker (713), Mason Mullins (647), Jon Rader (597) and Matthew Clay (468). Miami Trace Panthers include Jake Manbeavers (670), Cole Whiteside (551), Bryce Stuckey (550), Jonah Goddard (518) and Hunter Tanner.

Hillsboro’s Boys placed 4th with the top seven teams advancing at Rollhouse Lanes in Fairfield. The team consists of Kayden Gall (632), Austin Bledsoe (574), Camden Lively (574), Andrew Tomko (568) and Brayden Hall (526).

In the Girls Division 1 tournament at Poelking Woodman, Miami Trace and Washington finished 11th and 12th respectively, just outside the top 10 qualifying teams. Three Panthers and two Blue Lions advanced to the District Tournament as individuals. Miami Trace’s Anslee Combs qualified with a 585, along with teammates Onesti Evans (561) and Ta’Kyia Yahn (509). Washington’s Havannah Burns (523) and Olivia Doyle (519) qualified.

Hillsboro’s Girls placed 4th of the seven team qualifiers at Crossgate Lanes in Blue Ash. Bell Perkins had the top score for the Indians (552). Others on the qualifying team: Madison Nichols (447), Tahia James (411), Camilyn Miller (405) and Sidney Bayless.
