Chillicothe Kiwanis Schedule Kids Day for August 17th

(Chillicothe) – The Kiwanis Club of Chillicothe has announced their Kid’s Day event for Saturday, August 17th, 2024, from 11am to 3pm. The event will be held at the Kiwanis Shelter in Yoctangee Park and promises a day packed with activities and entertainment for children of all ages.

The day’s lineup includes a variety of engaging and creative activities:

  • Bounce House: Kids can jump and play to their heart’s content.
  • Rock Painting: Let your creativity shine with colorful rock painting.
  • Sand Art: Create beautiful and unique sand art masterpieces.
  • Pot a Plant: Learn about gardening and take home a potted plant.
  • Mobile Library: Explore books and enjoy storytelling sessions.
  • Petting Zoo: Interact with friendly animals at the petting zoo.
  • Children’s Fingerprint Identification: Courtesy of the Ross County Sheriff’s Department, this important service will help ensure the safety of your children.
  • Special Appearance by the Paw Patrol: Meet and greet your favorite characters from Paw Patrol.

The event is designed to provide a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment for children while fostering a sense of community. In addition to the scheduled activities, there will be many other surprises and fun opportunities throughout the day.

“We’re thrilled to host this event for the children in our community,” said Christy Simmons, President of the Kiwanis Club of Chillicothe. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a variety of activities, and create lasting memories.”
