Chillicothe Ousts McClain (3-1) For Undisputed FAC Volleyball Crown

The Chillicothe Lady Cavs laid claim to the undisputed Frontier Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship Monday with a (25-7, 25-15, 22-25, 25-20) win over McClain.
Chillicothe moves to (9-0/14-7) while McClain dropped to (5-4/10-10).
The loss for McClain also means Miami Trace will finish as FAC runner-up, with one conference match remaining.
Caroline Corcoran led the Lady Cavs offense with 11 kills and served 4 aces to go along with 13 digs. Elizabeth Henson had 8 kills and 3 blocks. Maleah Oney, Olivia Beatty and Johanna Crawford each had 7 kills, while Emma Barnes added 5. Crawford dished out 31 assists and served 4 aces. Oney had 5 serving aces. Morgan Daniels had 27 digs and 10 from Beatty.
After breezing through the first two sets (25-7, 25-15), McClain came storming back for a (25-22) Set #3 win. Chillicothe dug an early hole in the set, falling behind 13-5 and 19-11. The Lady Cavs fought back to cut the deficit to 24-22, before McClain ended the set.
After trailing 8-6 in Set #4, Chillicothe went on a 4-0 run and never trailed again in moving on to a 25-20 championship win.
