City of Lancaster Set to Convert Vacant Building into Apartment Complex
Article Presented By Hometown-Motors, Inc.
(Lancaster) On the corner of Columbus and Mulberry is a building that has been vacant for the past twenty years. It has been a shoe factory, wire manufacturing facility, and is now set to become the newest apartment complex in downtown Lancaster.
The property is 138,000 sq. feet that will hold a commercial space on the first floor, along with “at least 60 units,” says Stephanie Bosco, Economic Development Director for the city of Lancaster. The units will be a range of sizes, from studio on up.

Bosco says that a lot of the development will go unnoticed by Lancaster residents, as the large majority of work is set to be done inside the building.
The work is being done by Urban Restorations, and residents will hopefully be able to move in around Spring of 2026.
