
Depugh Named New Fire Chief for Huntington Twp

Huntington Two) – At their September regular monthly meeting, the Huntington Township board of Trustees installed Captain Austin Depugh as their new Fire Chief, replacing Chief Larry Cuckler, who retired on August 10, 2025.
Depugh has extensive experience in firefighting, as well EMS.
Depugh joined Huntington Township Fire Department in January of 2020, and has worked his way up in rank from Lieutenant to Captain, and most recently named interim Chief.
He has certifications in:
Firefighter 1
Firefighter 2
EMT-B
Hazmat operations
Rope Rescue
Heavy Rescue Technician
CPR instructor
National Incident Management Systems
And is now completing his testing to become a Paramedic
Depugh has been a member of the Ohio National Guard since 2016, as a Combat Engineer (12)B Team Leader, as well as a volunteer with the Harrison Township Fire Department since 2014.
