Dr. Bob Liggett Wins His 15th Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In
Article Presented By McDonald’s
Dr. Bob Liggett has a dynasty of championship wins at the Circleville Pumpkin Show Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In. He added to that legacy on Wednesday’s opening day, winning his 15th contest.
Liggett’s winning pumpkin weighed-in at 1,837.5 pounds, which is shy of his all-time record winner of 1,964 pounds. The 2,000 pound mark has been the goal that has eluded growers, although Liggett has come the closest.
John Pritchard took second place at the 2022 event, with a pumpkin weighing 1,438 pounds.
Brandon and Quentin Wiggins, a father-son duo, were third place at 1,347 pounds.
The Circleville Pumpkin Show opened Wednesday morning and runs through Saturday night.
