WATCH BELOW FOR OUR INTERVIEW WITH MELODY LAPCZYNSKI-HATFIELD AND RETIRED LT. COLONEL ROBERT LEACH:
Historians are currently using the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, September 11th, 2001, as the beginning date, and the departure of the final flights from Afghanistan on August 30th, 2021 as the ending date.
During this period, the number of Ross County residents who served was in the thousands, and four servicemen were killed. They were: Gavin Colburn, Aaron Reed, Brad Clemmons, and Josh Gire.
This monument will be placed in the southwest corner of Veterans Memorial Park on Yoctangee Boulevard.
