Elks Lodge #52 Boasts Two State Champs In 2025 Elks Hoop Shoot Contest

Elks Lodge #52 in Chillicothe will send two basketball players to the Regionals in South Bend, Indiana after winning their age group in the Ohio Elks Hoop Shoot in Newark Saturday morning.

Defending national champion Ainsley Weaver of Paint Valley won the Girls 10-11 year old group.

River Ruckel of Southeastern won first place in the Boys 12-13 contest. River had a shoot off and made 5/5 to win. Both Ainsley and River will move onto the Regional Competition in South Bend, Indiana March 15th.

Maddie Thompson of Paint Valley placed 6th in 8-9 girls. Kiya Weaver of Paint Valley was 5th in State in the 12-13 girls group.
