Fayette County Agricultural Hall of Fame Welcomes Three New Members

Article Presented By Hometown-Motors, Inc.

(Washington Court House) – Three new members are being inducted into the Fayette County Agricultural Hall of Fame during their banquet at the Mahan Building on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025. Social time begins at 6:30pm with dinner at 7pm.

New inductees are Charles & Bessie Hiser and Tracy Dendinger. Please join us in celebrating them and the many ways they have contributed to agriculture in Fayette County.

Charles raised cattle, sheep, pigs, dairy cows, and chickens, along with corn, soybeans, wheat, and oats. He died in 1991. Bessie transitioned from city life to embrace farm living after marrying Charles. She was an important part of their farming operation and community service until her death in 2016.

Tracy Dendinger has been a Fayette County resident for 31 years, serving the agricultural community throughout that time. Dendinger worked as the agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Miami Trace High School for more than 20 years, where her students earned 158 state FFA degrees, 51 American FFA degrees, multiple proficiency awards, and career development event titles. Dendinger has also impacted state and national agricultural programs. She served as a state agriculture education program consultant, state supervisor for district ag education, and an adjunct professor at Ohio State University and Wilmington College. She participated in livestock exhibitions, serving as a judge at national and state fairs, including the North American International Livestock Exposition and Arizona National. She continues to mentor and educate through Champion’s Choice Camps, training youth in sheep, swine, and goat showmanship nationwide. Dendinger has also worked with the Fayette County Junior Fair, Scarecrow Festival Ag Literacy Tent, and the Paint the Town Pink Campaign benefiting Adena Fayette Medical Center.

Tickets are $20 and are available for purchase at our office during regular business hours. Cash and check will be accepted.
