Fayette County Strategic Plan Seeks Public Input

(Washington CH) – Fayette County Commissioners and Fayette County Economic Development are working with Planning NEXT to develop a new Strategic Plan for Fayette County.

“We want all voices in Fayette County to share their hopes and desires for the future direction of our county!” 

This plan will address key areas like protecting rural character, economic development, and sustainable land use. Community engagement is a crucial part of the process, with opportunities for residents to provide input through various channels. 

The strategic plan will serve as a roadmap for Fayette County, outlining its vision, goals, and implementation strategies. It will help ensure that future decisions align with the community’s aspirations and address key challenges. The county is actively seeking input from residents through online platforms, public events, and other channels.

A Task Force of 22 community members representing a wide variety of sectors will be meeting, as well as interviews with several groups of stakeholders. The Task Force is also be showing up at community events between now and September asking questions and seeking input.
