
Girls Bowling: Lynchburg-Clay, Whiteoak, Circleville & Logan Elm Advance to D-II District

Lynchburg-Clay won the Girls D-II Bowling Sectional at Shawnee Lanes Tuesday. The Mustangs rolled a 3281 placing ahead of second place Whiteoak’s 3068. Circleville finished third with a 3047 and Logan Elm was fourth scoring a 3040. Each team advanced to the District Tournament.
While the top four teams advanced, the top four bowlers not on a qualifying team advanced as individually. Gallia Academy’s Megin Little was the top individual scoring a 574. Also advancing were Zane Trace’s Lauren Andrews (513), Ali Bell from Eastern Brown (513) and New Lexington’s Marley Mendez-Santiago (474).
The bowlers will return to Shawnee Lanes to join the Boys for the D-II District Tournament on Monday, February 16th at 11am.
Just missing the cut was Eastern Brown, placing fifth followed by Vinton County, Zane Trace, Gallia Academy, New Lexington and Wellston rounding out the top 10.
