High School Spring Sports Season is Here

The 2023 Spring Sports began this week with Boys Volleyball and Girls Lacrosse. Weather permitting, all the sports will be in full swing this Saturday.

Baseball, Softball and Track and Field events are slated to begin Saturday and Chillicothe’s Boys Tennis season opens Tuesday.

Chillicothe’s Fairweather Relays traditionally opens the Track and Field season. The Cavaliers are set to host teams from Hillsboro, Huntington, Logan, Teays Valley, Unioto, Washington CH and Waverly.

While the season is just beginning, the post season will be here before you know it.

Sectional tournaments begin May 6th for Softball, May 8th for Tennis and May 13th for Baseball. Lacrosse and Track head right to District action May 12th and 15th respectively, while Volleyball begins with Regional Qualifiers on May 6th.

State dates are:

Volleyball: May 27th

Lacrosse: May 30th

Softball: June 1st

Track and Field: June 2nd-3rd

Tennis: May 25th-26th

Baseball: June 8th
