HS Wrestling: It’s District Tourney Weekend

It’s District Wrestling weekend across Ohio. The Boys opened tournament matches Friday and will finish up Saturday. The Girls will wrestle on Sunday.

After Day 1, Teays Valley is 6^th in the D-I team standings at Hilliard Darby HS. Hamilton Township and Lancaster are tied with Gahana Lincoln for 23^rd.

In D-II at Steubenville HS, Miami Trace stands at 6^th, Logan Elm is tied for 7^th, Sheridan is 9^th, Athens, Galia Academy and Maysville are tied for 10^th, Chillicothe is 18^th, Vinton County 19^th, Westfall 21^st, Washington is tied with Tri-Valley for 23^rd, Waverly 26^th, Jackson 27^th, Circleville 28^th, Unioto 29^th, Fairfield Union and Zanesville are tied for 31^st and Hillsboro is tied with McClain for 36^th.

In D-II at Wilmington HS, Bloom-Carroll is tie for 9^th with Brookville, Clinton-Massie is 17^th and Wilmington 18^th.   

In D-III at Coshocton HS, Huntington is 9^th, Adena tied with Trimble for 19^th.Tied for 24^th, West Union, Ironton is 28^th, Paint Valley and Wellston are tied for 34^th.

In D-III at Troy HS, Amanda Clearcreek is tied for 24^th.

The State Wrestling tournament begins March 7^th and wraps up Sunday March 9^th at the Schottenstein Center at Ohio State University. The first four in each weight class will qualify for the State Tournament.
