Todd Huffman- Pickaway Veterans Services

Huffman Named New Pickaway Veterans Services Executive Director

Article Presented By Classic Brands…

(Circleville) – The Pickaway County Veterans Service Commission has appointed Todd Huffman as its new Executive Director effective December 1, 2024. Huffman has been employed with the organization since August 2016. He succeeds Margi Pettibone, who retired on November 30, 2024.

Huffman began his career with the Veterans Services as a County Veteran Service Officer in 2016. He has served as Assistant Director since 2017 and brings a wealth of experience, having helped the previous Director to implement innovative programs improving the efficiency of providing veterans access to benefits they have earned through their service to this country.

In a statement Veteran Services Commission President Alan Gabriel expressed:

“The Commissioners and I are extremely excited and confident for the Office’s future under Todd’s direction.  With keen managerial abilities and sound leadership, Todd has assembled a highly capable and very dedicated team that shares Todd’s vision and will continue to provide valuable, meaningful, and caring services that our County’s Veterans earned and deserve.”

Huffman shared his gratitude for the new role:
“I am very honored to have been hired to fill the role of Executive Director,” he said. “Being a veteran myself, I am very passionate in serving our community veterans to help them obtain the benefits that are available to them as a veteran. I look forward to leading the efforts of our office to continue the standards previously set and improve our services in a positive way to help those we serve.”

A lifelong resident of Pickaway County, Huffman is a graduate of Logan Elm High School. He enlisted into the Air Force/Ohio Air National Guard and served over 30 years with almost 3 years of active-duty service overseas deployments in support of the Gulf War. Huffman retired in 2016 and started his next chapter serving the veterans of Pickaway County.

Huffman outlined his priorities for the Veterans Service Office:
“Our office is young in tenure but has an enormous amount of veteran experience through their service to our nation. My goal is to develop our staff as a team and build on the strengths each of us bring to the table, allowing the veterans of our county to benefit in the services we provide.”

Pickaway County Veterans Services is committed to assisting the veterans of Pickaway County by providing direction to programs that are provided through the VA and Ohio Department of Veterans Services. Some of the programs offered by their office include assistance in filing for disability compensation and pension claims, survivor benefits, and other benefits with the VA. The office also offers county residents such benefits as Financial Assistance and Transportation Services to VA medical appointments.

Contact the office at (740) 474-3650 for more information.
