Huntington Victorious at the Ross County Quiz Bowl Tournament

The Ross County quiz bowl tournament was held on December 10th at the Ross County Service Center. High school teams participating were Adena, Huntington, Paint Valley, Southeastern, and Zane Trace.

There were five rounds of the tournament, each team playing each other once and having one bye round.

Paint Valley went 0-4, Southeastern 1-3, Adena 2-2, Zane Trace were the runners-up at 3-1, and the Huntington Huntsmen coached by Cathy Adams went 4-0 on the day.

Zane Trace, coached by Jason Clark were the runners-up, with their one loss coming to Huntington in the final match of the day.

Jackson Kohls of Huntington led the team in scoring, answering 55 correct toss-ups, 2 being for power points. Cooper Cantrell answered 44 toss-ups correctly, with 6 of those being for power points.

Heading into the fourth and final match of the day, Zane Trace and Huntington were both 3-0, but Huntington won the tournament outright with a 330-90 win over the Pioneers.
