Kids In College at Returns To Ohio University Chillicothe in June

(Chillicothe) – Ohio University Chillicothe will host its annual Kids in College summer program from June 2nd through 13th.

Kids in College is a summer enrichment program for students interested in the sciences, arts, languages and history. A group of enthusiastic, imaginative instructors, business owners and college faculty offer hands-on learning opportunities as part of the program.

“We’re excited to welcome kids to our campus for two weeks filled with learning and excitement,” said Ann Holmes, administrative specialist at OHIO Chillicothe. “Kids in College gives children an opportunity to explore questions and find answers, discover new interests, flex their creativity, and have fun while making meaningful connections.”

Kids in College offers a diverse range of experiences for participating children who will learn, explore and discover in small groups with the support of caring instructors. Registration is open through May 12. The fee for each class is $38 and some classes may also require material fees. A Kids in College t-shirts can be ordered for $12.

Throughout the program, participants will engage in a variety of activities including pickleball, art, sports skills, STEM, music, scientific discovery, accounting and stand-up comedy.

Week one classes include Intro to Emergency First Responders with Rob Jackson, Intro to Ancient Greek and Holidays around the World with Natalie Herdman, Music Makers with Stephanie Clemmons, and Pickleball with Jeanie Dalton.

Week two classes include Artistic Exploration with Taylor Bonner, Music Makers with Stephanie Clemmons, Stories and Snack with Jillian Snyder, Sports Academy with Gene Padgett, Sensory Art with Justine Ralston, A Universe of Discovery with Michael Koop, Manufacturing Accounting with Tanya Hire and Stand-up Comedy with Lori Graves.
