Lancaster Girls & Fairfield Union Boys Win State CC Team Championships

Fairfield County has two OHSAA Cross Country Champions in 2024, as the Lancaster Lady Gales and Fairfield Union Falcons brought home team titles from the Fortress Obetz Saturday.

Marisa Heil placed third and Harper Allen 17th in Division 1 to both earn All Ohio honors. Brooke Derringer was 30th, Ava Parrett 58th, Amelia Fries 76th, and Lily Carpico 173rd to round-out Lancaster’s team performers. Teays Valley’s Reese Galinger was 33rd in D-1.

In Division 2 Boys, Fairfield Union’s Andrew Walton defended his individual state championship, while Nathan Phillips was 8th, Christian Reindle 15th as all three earn All Ohio honors.

Connor Runkle of Fairfield Union was 29th, Cordel Runkle 71st, Ryan Boyer 93rd, and Andrew Ray 97th.

Athens Sophia Szolosi won the girls D-2 individual championship, with Andie Corrigan 17th to also earn All Ohio for the Lady Bulldogs.
