Local Youth Advance to Great Lakes Hoop Shoot Contest

Chillicothe Elks Lodge #52 held the first level of Hoop Shoot competition for all county, city and private schools in December. Those winners advanced to the District Contest in Jackson on January 17, 2024. 

Representing Lodge #52 were:

Ainsley Weaver, 8-9 yo, Paint Valley Elementary.
Adelyn Cooper, 10-11 yo, Paint Valley Elementary.
Mia Free, 12-13 yo, Paint Valley MS
Zaven Hall, 8-9 yo, Chillicothe Elementary
Isaiah Reveal, 10-11 yo, Unioto Primary
Blake Braden, Unioto MS, 12-13 yo.

Ainsley Weaver, Mia Free and Isaiah Reveal each won their respective age group at the District Level to advance to State Competition on February 17 in Newark. Ainsley won her age group at the State shooting an impressive 25/25 shots. Isaiah Reveal made 21/25 shots and also won his age division.

These two local students will now represent Chillicothe Lodge #52 at the Great Lakes Region 4 contest in South Bend, Indiana on March 16, 2024. They will be shooting against others from Indiana and Michigan.
