(Circleville) – ArtsaRound, a local non-profit supporting the arts, announces Aubree Walker as the winner of the 2025 Collegiate Art Scholarship. Aubree is a recent graduate of Logan Elm High School and was nominated by her teacher, Heath Bennett.
This scholarship, in its inaugural year, is awarded to a local student who is pursuing professional instruction in any form of art at the post-secondary level. This scholarship was competitive with submissions from four county high schools.
Students could be nominated by any teacher related to the arts, including band, chorus, visual art, consumer sciences or industrial arts. In addition to a portfolio highlighting their artistic talents, applicants submitted an artist statement outlining their artistic vision, goals, passion for art and community involvement.
Aubree plans to study geology and minor in art at The Ohio State University. In her application, she said, “My goal is to merge science and art in my future career – spreading creativity and inspiring others through education and innovation.”
ArtsaRound President Dale Herron said, “We continue to be impressed by the artistic talent in Pickaway County. Our applicants this year included vocalists as well as visual artists, and we hope to continue to expand this scholarship in the future to encompass all artistic forms.”
Aubree says, “I am more than honored to receive the first ArtsAround scholarship prize. This scholarship will greatly support my artistic journey, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity it provides.”
ArtsaRound formed in 2001 and is dedicated to supporting art and artists in Pickaway County and the regional area.
