Area Business Gets Assist For Construction In Gateway Industrial Park

Article Presented By Hanes Total Healthcare Center…

(Ross County) – Fluor-BWXT and the Joint Economic Development Initiative of Southern Ohio (JEDISO), in an effort to support small businesses in the four-county region, presented a grant of $24,000 to Hughes Restoration in Chillicothe. The grant will aid in the expansion of ServPro, an emergency restoration service, currently located in Jackson County.

“This grant will allow an additional location for this much needed service,” said FBP Community Commitment Chair, Tim Poe. “This expansion will not only bring the service closer to those who live in Ross County, but also provide jobs for the area.”

The grant will allow the owners, Travis and Jennifer Hughes, to purchase property inside Gateway Interchange Industrial Park and build 20,000 square-feet on three acres, which will add four new jobs. The location in Jackson County will continue to operate in conjunction with the new facility.

“Ross County has so much to offer growing businesses,” said Tammy Eallonardo, director of the Greater Chillicothe and Ross County Development. “Thanks to the Fluor-BWXT Opportunity Fund, we can support this project and continue to attract more business to the area.”

As Litter Media reported recently, as part of Fluor-BWXT’s community commitment, significant economic investments are being made in the region through FBP’s partnership with JEDISO. Since 2013, over one billion dollars in economic development has been generated by supporting local businesses in Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Jackson counties. The goal is to create and retain jobs for a sustainable and strong economy. Since 2011, FBP has provided more than $5.5 million in economic grants–creating and retaining thousands of jobs in the four-county region.
