Nancy Detty Honored with 2024 Ross County Friend of 4-H Award

One of Ross County 4-H’s highest honors was bestowed upon Nancy Detty as “Friend of 4-H” on opening night of the 2024 Ross County Fair. Detty has been involved in 4-H since 1971 and has served as a session teacher of Quality Assurance, making sure Ross County 4-H youth learn about the fundamentals of livestock production.
For the past three years, Nancy Detty has served as a member of the Ross County Endowment Committee to make sure funds donated last a lifetime. She also serves as Committee Secretary. Unique to this year’s nomination, it came from a 4-H Youth. It was specifically noted that- “From volunteering in roles such as club advisor to 4-H Committee member, or volunteering to take take my sister’s steer to open walk since she knew we didn’t have a big enough trailer, her passion for vounteering to help has influenced man.”
