Nickens Heritage Center Honored At Ohio Statehouse

The David Nickens Heritage Center in Chillicothe was recently honored for their contribution to Black History in the community, with an honor presented at the Ohio Statehouse.

Nickens Heritage Center Director Beverly Gray received the recognition at the Ohio Hill Country Heritage Area’s Appalachian Heritage Luncheon, Wednesday at the Ohio Statehouse.

State Senator Bob Peterson of the 17th District, was on hand to present the award to Gray.

Congratulations to Beverly Gray and The David Nickens Heritage Center for their continued work in educating our community to the great contributions from the African American Community in the Chillicothe and Ross County area.
