Northside Branch Library Renovations Lead To Temporary Closure

Article Presented By Adena Health…

(Chillicothe) – The Northside Branch Library will temporarily close its doors beginning Monday, December 9th, 2024, as it undergoes necessary renovations. The closure is expected to last through the beginning of April 2025. During this time, library patrons are encouraged to visit other branch locations of the CRCPL system or utilize online resources available at CRCPL.org.

The renovations are part of the library’s commitment to providing modern, safe, and welcoming spaces for the community. Outdoor renovations have already begun, with a new roof and revamping the parking lot with accessible parking spots closer to the entrance. During the closure, the inside will get a new HVAC unit, new paint and carpet, an addition of outdoor entrances, and relocating the Teen Space.

Regular updates on the renovation progress and details about reopening plans will be posted on the library’s website at CRCPL.org/NS-Renovation. Library patrons are encouraged to check the site regularly for information on available services and upcoming events.

“We understand that the temporary closure may cause some inconvenience, but we’re excited to bring these improvements to the Northside Branch,” said James Hill, Executive Director. “We look forward to welcoming the community back to a revitalized space that better meets their needs.”
