OHIO Chillicothe Partners with Goodwill to Host Donation Drive

Article presented by Accurate Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

Ohio University Chillicothe is teaming up with Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio to make a difference in our community. On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Stevenson Center at 101 University Drive will serve as the hub for a donation drive that benefits both local job seekers, OHIO Chillicothe students, and the community at large.

Cleaning out your closet? Turn your gently used clothing and household items into opportunities for others. Donations will help stock OHIO Chillicothe’s Student Resource Center with professional attire—business casual and business formal—for interviews, career fairs, and other career-related events. Your contribution can help students feel confident and prepared for success.

Why Your Donation Matters
Every item donated to Goodwill helps someone find a job, strengthens our community, and supports sustainability. Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio also provides services to individuals with disabilities through their five activity and training centers. Goodwill sells donated goods in stores and online, generating revenue to fund employment training and job placement services for individuals facing barriers to employment. By donating, you’re not only helping people gain valuable skills, you’re also keeping items in circulation longer, reducing waste and protecting the planet.

What to Bring
Accepted items include:

  • Clothing and accessories
  • Household goods
  • Electronics

Join us in making a positive impact. Your generosity can change lives right here in our community.

For more information, contact Ohio University Chillicothe or Bill Parker, Director of Community Engagement at Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio at (614) 508-1463.
