OhioHealth Berger Hospital Evacuated Due to Overheated Boiler

Article Presented By Accurate Heating, Cooling & Plumbing…

NOTE: This report has been updated from the original.

(Circleville) – OhioHealth Berger Hospital will return to normal operations after being evacuated Wednesday as a precaution due to smoke coming from the basement. Officials at the Circleville hospital now say the cause of the smoke was a pump that overheated, and there was no fire, as reported earlier.

55 patients from the hospital were evacuated and transferred to area hospitals and Circleville High School.

Traffic was being diverted to avoid Pickaway Street, North Ridge Street and High Street around the hospital earlier in the day.
