(Piketon) – The OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Pike County, Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) of the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is excited to announce its upcoming annual Career Fair event scheduled to take place at the Pike County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm. This event aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and local businesses to discuss a wide variety of industries and career fields.

The annual Career Fair Event showcases local businesses’ open and available positions. Attendees will have the chance to engage with representatives from various sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and more. The event will cater to individuals with varying skill sets and professional backgrounds ensuring a wealth of opportunities for all attendees.

“We are always excited to host our Career Fair event,” said Erica Jones, OMJ Supervisor. “It provides local job seekers and employers not only from Pike County but also from our neighboring counties to come together and discuss available jobs. Many enjoy being able to meet face-to-face to discuss positions, as well as the skills and experience that each candidate can bring to the table.”

Job seekers attending the Career Fair are strongly encouraged to bring their updated resumes to the event. If you need assistance with updating your resume, please visit the OhioMeansJobs Career Center at 941 Market Street in Piketon prior to the event. In addition, job seekers will have the opportunity to learn more about the training assistance and other supportive services available through the W&B Program.

This event is open to the public and requires no cost to attend. For further information, please contact OhioMeansJobs Pike County at (740) 289-2371 or visit their website:  workforcebusinessdevelopment.org.
