(Columbus) – The Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Directors held its regularly scheduled January meeting Thursday morning at the OHSAA office. Among the highlights from the meeting included approval of the changing of districts for two high schools.
As a result of a petition from the Crooksville Exempted Village School District, Crooksville High School was approved by the OHSAA to change affiliation to the East District from the Southeast District beginning in the Fall of 2024. Earlier this year, the OHSAA approved Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington to move from the Southwest District to the Southeast District, along with Navarre Fairless to move from the Northeast District to the East District.
In a separate item, the OHSAA will conduct in-person meetings in each OHSAA district in late January and early February to discuss the divisional expansion concept. The meetings include January 29th in Columbus, January 30th in Cincinnati, February 2nd in Findlay, February 5th in Streetsboro, February 7th in Cambridge and February 9th in Logan.
