Paint Valley ADAMH Board Announces plans for Mental Health Awareness Campaign this May

Article Presented By Tomlinson Insurance…

Chillicothe, OH – The “More Good Days Together” campaign brings Mental Health
Awareness Month to life through a vibrant blend of art, community connection, and
shared experiences beginning in April and moving into May 2026.

One highlight of this campaign will be a juried art show hosted at OU Chillicothe, the
campaign invites both accomplished and novice artists to share work that reflects hope,
resilience, and mental wellness.

All entry forms for the Art Show will be available at www.pvadamh.org. Entry forms
must be completed and submitted to contactus@pvadamh.org. The pieces of art must
be dropped off at The Dean’s office at Ohio University Chillicothe prior to April 15th.

“The opening reception on May 14th will celebrate creativity and community, while
ongoing outreach—including artist spotlights, proclamations, and collaborative events—
keeps mental health awareness visible and engaging throughout the region,” explains
William Showman, Manager of Prevention and Evaluations. “With art sales benefiting
the Paint Valley Wellness Fund and opportunities for donated artwork to live on in
provider spaces, the campaign ensures a lasting positive impact.”

Building momentum beyond the gallery, More Good Days Together expands into the
airwaves and neighborhoods through an interactive radio trivia campaign, social media
engagement, and the popular #LightItUpGreen initiative. Weekly trivia questions,
county-wide t-shirt giveaways, and green porch lights encourage residents and
businesses to show their support and start meaningful conversations about mental
health.

To stay up to date on additional activities planned throughout May—from festivals and
fun runs to trainings and community partnerships—follow The Paint Valley ADAMH
Board on Facebook. Together, these efforts create a unified, joyful message: mental
health matters, connection matters, and more good days are possible when we show up
for one another.

If you would like a green light bulb to raise awareness and start meaningful conversations, you can request one at contactus@pvadamh.org
