Patterson Named New Unioto Girls Volleyball Coach

Unioto High School went to someone familiar in hiring their new head volleyball coach, former Unioto assistant Gavin Patterson. Patterson was an assistant for Jimmy Hutton two years ago, and will take the helm of the Shermans’ girls volleyball program following Hutton’s coaching retirement after the 2024 season.

It will be Patterson’s second varsity head coaching position after spending last season leading the Southeastern Panthers to a (16-9) season and district runner-up finish. The Panthers were (7-7) in the SVC for 2024.

Patterson also has experience coaching club volleyball in the area in recent years.
