Pickaway Chamber of Commerce Names Jan Shannon Interim Director

Article Presented By Classic Brands…

(Circleville) – The Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has appointed Jan Shannon to lead the Chamber as the Interim Director on a part-time basis for a ten month contract. Jan will work in conjunction with Savannah MacDowell, Project Coordinator, as they engage with members and the community.

Jan Shannon was born and raised in Pickaway County and graduated from Teays Valley High School. She has an MBA from Ohio Christian University. Jan retired over 10 years ago after a career in public employment. She spent 21 years of her career with the Ohio Public Retirement Systems and 9 years with Pickaway County Job and Family Services. After retirement, she worked for 7 years as the first full time Executive Director of the Pickaway County Community Foundation. Jan stepped down from that position two years ago and has since focused her time on teaching at OCU and volunteering. Jan serves on the Foundations 4 Youth Board, Pickaway Ross Career and Technology School Board, is serving as current president of Circleville Sunrise Rotary, and is appointed to the state of Ohio Consumer Council’s Board. Jan has a huge passion for agriculture as well as the Miryante project in Uganda. When not volunteering you will find Jan spending time with her husband, Brad, in their garden, traveling the world, or spending time with their grown children and four grandchildren.

“I am most excited about the opportunity of helping the Pickaway County Chamber members, and future members learn more about the resources available at the Chamber which can make impactful change for the business of our county.”
