(Waverly) – The Pike County Department of Jobs and Family Services is running a temporary program to assist with rent or mortgage housing costs, up to $750 for a month.
The applications are located in a black box outside their office by their Dropbox. This program only runs until November 22 or until all available funding is used. Applications may be picked up October 15th, 2024 during business hours of 7:30am-4pm. The black box will only be available outside their agency doors with the program specific applications inside. Once completed, the application can be submitted in their agency, in their drop box, or emailed to melinda.purpero@jfs.ohio.gov.
This will be a one time payment made towards rent or mortgage for eligible Assistant Groups that live in Pike County, have a minor child, and meet the 200% Federal Poverty Level.
If rent or mortgage amount due is more than the allocated amount, applicant may pay the difference but will not be required to provide verification. If rent or mortgage amount due is less than the allocated amount, applicant will not be permitted to apply for the balance as this is a one-time payment.
