
Pike Heritage Museum Receives Appalachia Heritage Success Story Award

(Columbus) – Pike Heritage Museum is one of nine honorees at the Ohio State House selected for their efforts by Heritage Ohio and the Ohio Hill Country Heritage Area. Pike Heritage Museum was recognized as an Appalachia Heritage Success Story, the first Pike County entity so honored.

Others awarded were: the Ohio Hills Health Center, the Artist Colony of Zanesville, the Hidden Hills Orchard, the Belpre County Historical Society, Sam Miller of Buckeye Hills, Folk Artist Steve Free, the Highland County Old Buriel Ground, and Joe Burrow.
Many supporters of the museum were in attendance. The award was presented by Representative Bob Peterson.
The Pike Heritage Museum is working diligently to educate the masses about Pike County’s heritage.
