
Pioneer Center Schedules DD Awareness Month Activities for March

(Ross County) – The Pioneer Center is gearing up for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. DD Month is celebrated every March to highlight the contributions of people with disabilities and to advocate for their inclusion in our community.
“We are always working to increase the inclusion and acceptance of individuals with developmental disabilities in Ross County,” says Amy Beeler, Superintendent of the Pioneer Center. “DD Month allows us to get the community involved and celebrate together.”
Local events and initiatives for the month include:
March 6th, 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Pump House Center for the Arts – DD Month Art Showcase Opening Night
March 7th, 10:30am-1pm in Downtown Chillicothe – DD Month Walk for Awareness & Kick-Off Party
March 20th, 10am – 12pm at Chillicothe Baptist Church – Pioneer Center Annual Awards Banquet
March 21st, 6pm-9pm at Chillicothe Eagles – Party at the Eagles with live music from Felony4
March 27th, 6pm-8pm at Chillicothe High School – Ross County Special Olympics Celebrity Basketball Game
March 14th, 21st & 28th – Food Truck Fridays at Pioneer Center Admin Building (167 West Main Street.)
