Public Comments Sought For Area ODOT Projects

ODOT is seeking public comments on four area road projects.

ROS-772-8.76 (PID 115322) It is proposed to perform a scour remediation project on S.R. 722 at the 8.76 mile mark in Ross County, Ohio. The project is located in a rural area of Huntington Township between Chester Hill Road and Baptist Hill Road. The project will grade and add rock channel protection (RCP) to the stream banks to protect the bridge.

The project will require approximately 0.389 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located along the stream channels.

The roadway will be open for the duration of the project.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% State.

The environmental commitment date is 7/28/2024. The project is currently expected to be awarded 7/1/2024

PIK-772-14.10 (PID 115993) It is proposed to perform a landslide remediation project on S.R. 772 at the 14.10 mile mark in Pike County. The project includes the construction of a drilled shaft retaining wall, pavement repair and installation of guardrail. The project is located in a residential area of Pebble Township between McKinney Road and the S.R. 772 and S.R. 124 intersection.

The project will not require new right-of-way.

The roadway will be open for the duration of the project.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% State.

The environmental commitment date is 10/1/2023. The project is currently expected to be awarded 2/5/2024

JAC-93-7.35 (PID 112904) It is proposed to replace the culvert on S.R. 93 at the 7.35 mile mark in Jackson County, Ohio. The project is located in a rural area of Franklin Township between Clay Banner Road and Roscoe Road.

The project will require approximately 0.669 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located along the stream channel and in residential lawns.

The project will require approximately 0.197 acres of temporary right-of-way. The temporary right-of-way is located along the stream channel and in residential lawns.

The roadway will be closed for the duration of the project.

The state detour will be S.R. 93 to S.R. 32 to U.S. 35 to S.R. 279 to S.R. 93. The state detour is approximately 27.3 miles.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% State.

The environmental commitment date is 6/23/2024. The project is currently expected to be awarded 4/1/2025

BRO-50-3.95 (PID 102442) It is proposed to replace the culvert on U.S. 50 at the 3.95 mile mark in Brown County, Ohio. The project is located in a rural area of Perry Township.. 

The project will require approximately 0.181 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located along the forested stream channel and a residential lawn.

The roadway will be open for the duration of the project.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% State.

The environmental commitment date is 7/17/2023. The project is currently expected to be awarded 3/4/2024
