Ross County Fair Adding School Bus Demo Derby in 2025

Calling all students from within Ross County, as this year’s Ross County Fair will become the latest area county fair to conduct a School Bus Demo Derby. 

This will include Chillicothe High School, Huntington Local School District, Union-Scioto Local School District, Pioneer School and School Services, Paint Valley Local Schools, Ross County Christian Academy, Southeastern High School & Elementary, Pickaway-Ross CTC, Zane Trace Local School District, Adena Local School District, and Ross County 4-H – OSU Extension.

“We are gearing up for our first Ross County School Bus Derby and need your help decorating the school buses. Come out to the fairgrounds during the dates and times listed in the photo to help decorate your school’s bus. Your school’s primary and secondary colors are provided by the RCAS. If you would like to add some more color to your bus, you are welcome to bring additional colors. No foul language or obscenities allowed on the buses, anything inappropriate and not family-friendly will be painted over.”

Students are invited to come to the county fairgrounds to paint their bus on the following dates/times:
July 8th from 5pm-9pm
July 9th from 9am-3pm
July 19th from 9am-Noon
July 31st from 5pm-9pm
*Paint and brushes will by supplied*

The derby will take place on Wednesday, August 6th at 7pm at the Ross County Fairgrounds Grandstand. The bus derby will consist of 10 buses, 2 heats of 5 with the top 4 going to the feature.
