Ross Emergency Management Seeks Community Feedback

(Ross County EMA) – Ross County is nearing the end of the 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan update process and seeking community feedback on their draft plan.

“Ross County was recently awarded a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant to update our County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. This update is required by FEMA every five years to remain eligible for funding for projects. Municipalities, police and fire departments, schools, businesses, and the general public may receive funding for any mitigation strategy found in the approved and adopted plan update.”

The Draft Plan is available at: https://burtonplanning.com/ross-hmp/. Hard copies may be requested from the Ross County EMA Office.

Please review the draft plan and provide any comments by November 15, 2025. Comments can be submitted via email to rosseme@rosscountyohio.gov or by hard copy to the Ross County EMA office at 475 Western Ave., Suite A, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
