(Marietta) – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 10 invites the public to an open house public meeting concerning the potential options to improve safety on U.S. 33 in Hocking County. The study’s primary goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes along the four-lane divided highway.
Study Overview
The study has evaluated existing conditions and proposed several options to improve safety along U.S. 33 from the Fairfield-Hocking County Line to Chieftain Drive (State Route 180) in Hocking County. The proposed options range from no build, to constructing interchanges and frontage roads, to a new alignment of U.S. 33. This study is a crucial step in improving safety for roadway users along U.S. 33.
