Shawnee State Park Promotes Annual Nature Wellness Weekend In May

(West Portsmouth) – Escape the everyday and immerse yourself in the serenity of nature at Shawnee State Park’s 3rd Annual Nature Wellness Weekend, happening Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18. This special event combines outdoor adventure with wellness practices, offering the perfect opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with the natural world.

Co-sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Parks and Watercraft, Shawnee State Park Lodge and Conference Center, and Friends of Shawnee State Park, Inc., this peaceful weekend features low-impact activities designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Participants can choose from a range of activities including hiking, creek play, natural art, identifying wild, edible plants, and more.

The all-inclusive package includes lodging at Shawnee Lodge and Conference Center, meals, and activities, with prices ranging from $536–$582 per person. Prefer camping and preparing your own meals? Registration for this unique weekend opened February 1st, 2025 and is open to those ages 16 and older. Act fast, as only 40 spots are available.
