Six Individuals Highlight 4-H Honors at 2025 Ross County Fair

Article Presented By Pickaway Ross CTC Adult Education…

Two adults and four youth were honored with Ross County 4-H’s highest honors Sunday at the opening night of the 2025 Ross County Fair.

Richard Ginther received the Supporter of the Fair, for his four decades of service, ranging from fairboard member to caretaker of the county fairgrounds.

Bill Speakman was honored with the prestigious Friend of 4-H Award for his many years of serving as medical tech/nurse for 4-H camps each summer.

And, the Junior 4-Hers of the Year are Harper Robinson and Gracie Carter, while Senior 4-Hers of the Year are Ethan Queen and Emma Willett.

A couple of motor and people traffic announcements are in place for the 2025 Ross County Fair. Starting Monday August 4th through Saturday August 9th, Ross County Sheriff Deputies will be opening a second entrance into the Ross County Fair between the hours of 2pm and 8pm. You will be able to make a right hand turn if you are headed southbound on the State Route 207 interconnector. The entrance will be just North of the traffic light at State Routes 104 and 207. The entrance will be marked with one of my patrol vehicles. You will not be able to make a left turn if you are traveling northbound.

Also, there is a new pit entrance for the events that offer infield seating. It is now located on the south end of the grandstand general admission bleachers. The gate on the north end will not be used this year.

The Ross County Fair continues through Saturday night.
