Southeastern FFA Making Community Impact

Article presented by Chillicothe VAMC

(Article written by Gabrelle Flowers of SE FFA) – The Southeastern Ross FFA Chapter presented Adena Health Foundation with a check of $800. Representing our Southeastern Ross pictured below (L to R) Hudson Drake (sentinel), Parker Whitington (Parliamentarian), Chloe Wills (president) and representing Adena Heath was Robin L. Berno.

In Adena Health’s Foundation program you can choose where your money goes, and the chapter decided to donate to Adena Health’s Cancer Foundation. The Chapter feels so deeply about this donation because we really wanted to help show support for not only the workers that take care of our loved ones but also our loved ones who are still fighting or have survived.

“We want the Adena staff to know that we appreciate the time, dedication, and empathy that they show each and everyday. We know that with COVID-19 that their world had drastically changed. We want the people battling cancer to know that they are never alone. We want them to know that they are warriors, and they can beat this!! The Southeastern Ross gives the Warriors of America our everlasting support! And we also want the Survivors to know how proud of them we are. The fight they made is truly inspiring. The Chapter thrives to have the same determination as former patients who never gave up on what they were fighting for.”
