State Wrestling, Day 2 – Jackson’s Craft Returns to Championship Match

After the second day of the OHSAA State Wrestling Meet, Jackson’s Makennah Craft defends her 2023 State Championship by returning to the title match. Craft, a junior, will face Oak Hills senior, Brianne Graves at 5:15pm Sunday.

Craft is the only local wrestling for a state title.  

Meanwhile, nine will wrestle for at best, third place finishes. Those include Lancaster’s Luke Cox in Division 1; in Division 2, Chillicothe’s Cannan Smith; in Division 3 Zane Pickerrell from Zane Trace and Gage Bolt from Westfall; and five in the Girls Meet, Leah Marine and Lyndyn Gibbs of Washington CH, Ava Miller from Teays Valley, Hamilton Township’s Sionna Sanborn and Waverly’s Abby Green.

Consolation Semi-Finals begin at 9:30am Sunday with the battles for 3^rd, 5^th and 7^th places begin at 10:45am and the Parade of Champions is scheduled for 5pm followed by the championship matches.
